No Roundtripping feature in Premiere Pro??

I thought roundtripping from Premiere Pro to Soundbooth (and Audition) would be a basic feature. In fact the lazy guys over at Apple have incorporated this feature in their Final Cut Pro/Soundtrack Pro rigs since the beginning! Why has Adobe not caught on yet?

Well, I created a work around that works great! It does take a little bit longer than right clicking a sequence and clicking “Send to Soundtrack Pro” but it will work.

Basically: Export your sequence as AIFF for each track of audio, then import into Soundbooth or Audition. Edit then export as a stereo AIFF or WAV file and import into Premiere Pro!

Now I am coming from a Final Cut background and in fact was about to go back to Apple just because Adobe didn’t have this functionality in their software. This is keeping me from going back to Final Cut Pro for now. I hope it helps you out too!
